The Cellar Door is one of the transition points from into the Under the Newmaker Plane area, which is the area Under the Newmaker Plane. Surprise.
Note that while you enter it going north, you appear on the Furnace Room stairs heading south... but if you follow the path through the underground, you end up coming back out onto the Newmaker Plane by going up the Back Stairway and out the Back Stairway Exit, facing north again.
Appearance
- Petscop 1: Paul runs into it after wandering the Newmaker Plane, but does not remember how he got there (other than randomly moving a lot). The door is closed.
- Petscop 2: The video starts with the player next to the door; after some time, a series of tones play and the door opens on its own. Paul returns shortly after, mentioning that it happened while he was away.
